
Peel Castle
Description
Peel Castle is a 14th-century castle located on a small island off the west coast of the Isle of Man. The castle was built by Magnus Taner, the King of Norway and Lord of the Isles, and served as an important defensive outpost for the island. The castle is surrounded by dramatic cliffs and offers stunning views of the Irish Sea.
The castle is made from red sandstone and is in a relatively good state of repair.
The castle is a popular tourist destination and is open to the public for tours.
There is a small cafe and gift shop located on the island.
